Concepts: The Message and Metaphor

The concept of the application is old movie concept. The application will have the design like those old movie, which is in black & white color or sepia color tone with scratches and dusts. I will make the application sort of like a projection of those old movie clips. Instead of just reading the information on the application, the audience will be like watching an old movie. The reason I choose to use this "old movie" concept is because old movie is a metaphor of classic, I try to bring out the nostalgia and classic feelings. Through this kind of feeling, audience could feel the important of the living heritage and appreciate the skill of Mr. Lee. The concept is to let the audience treasure, cherish and value this traditional crafting skill of Mr. Lee. Of course the audience could or might understand the other message beyond these, it is all depends on the audience's experience

Target Audience

Young Adults age from 18 to 30 years old
Tourists of Penang
Reason:

- To let young adults know and understand this kind of traditional crafting skills.

- Young adults nowadays do not really appreciate all those traditions.

- Create the awareness to let them know that those tradition will be lost soon.
- Reasonable age for them to understand the important of Living Heritage. (not too young or too old)

- Most of the tourists in Penang consists of this age according to my observation.
